Galaxy Nexus 4.3 Crash

The premium charts for Android build is crashing on a Galaxy Nexus 4.3.

This one seems to continually crash, I am on the latest 1.9.0-3 SDK version and tried reverting versions but I always get this.

Hi Michael,

I’m sorry to hear you’re getting this crash but it’s not something we’re aware of.

I’m surprised you’re getting the No JNI_OnLoad found message as we now include a JNO_OnLoad file but either way I don’t this is something to worry about.

We did run into some device specific (well, graphics chip specific) crashes in the v1.8.x releases but had thought v1.9.0 fixed all these. They were seemingly to do with the version of the NDK we were building with, simply updating to the latest (13 at the moment) seemed to do the trick.

In your app do you have any C++ code you’re using the NDK to compile? If so, are you able to try updating to the latest version to see if that helps?

You mention it continually crashes - by this do you mean you never get to even see any of the charts on screen? Or does it crash sometime after displaying the charts? Or on a particular event, such as a rotation of the device? Are you able to successfully run any of the sample apps included in the download bundle on the same device?

Kind regards,

Patrick

Hello, I am seeing a similar crash on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 WIFI (Model GT-P5210) running 4.4.2. This tablet has an Atom Intel processor.

This crash occurs on any screen we have charts during load. We are never able to see a chart.

Thank You

Hi mmarceau,

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this crash - it seems to be something that only affects Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy Tab 3 devices.

The good news is we have a fix for it and are actually at present putting together a hotfix release that will be suitable for use in production.

We’ll post back on here when it is available for download in our support portal.

Kind regards,

Patrick
