Shinobi Android Chart

I am quite happy with your controls. But I need some clarifications,

“Plot hundreds of thousands of data points with GPU-accelerated rendering”

What does the GPU-accelerated rendering mean. Are you guys using OpenGL for drawing the chart in Android.

https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/graphics/opengl.html

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch!
We do indeed use open GL - Open GL ES 2.0 to be precise.
GPU-accelerated rendering refers to the fact that we render the data itself (as opposed to the other parts of the chart, such as the axes) via the native graphics chip on the device. This gives us much faster and smoother rendering of the data, especially when using gestures such as pan and zoom.
I hope that this helps,
Thanks,
Kai.
